Templates
The templates chapter allows you to preconfigure certain parts of a discount in order to ease the process of creating new discounts. Discount templates can be selected during discount configuration to quickly set up a basic discount skeleton. You can also delete a template and all its attached discounts here.
In order to be able to access this chapter, you need the DiscountTemplates permission.
Creating discounts from templates requires different permissions that can be set using role functionalities than those required for creating discounts from scratch. Because of this, you can allow users to only create discounts from templates and not entirely from scratch.
Creating a new template works in much the same way as creating a regular discount, although several fields specifically related to discounts (such as a marketing description and dates) are not available here. You can also directly attach an existing campaign to the template when creating it.
Additionally, you can filter discounts on the template upon which they are based.
