Dashboard

Dashboard is a feature where the POS landing page can be tweaked using custom content for your store employees. This could be important news, top-selling products, you name it.

Setup

To activate the POS Dashboard, make sure you have both App:Pos:Contentful:SpaceID and App:Pos:Contentful:AccessToken set for the store where your POS operates in. When they are set, POS will always land on the dashboard after login. Dismissing the dashboard will take you to the basket page by default, or to any other configuration of your Default route.

To integrate the POS app with your Contentful space, please contact support@springtree.nl for manual integration. They will need your Contentful Space ID, Access Token, and Organization ID. With these details, they can install the app in your space and prefill the necessary content.

Once you've set up your Contentful environment, you can access the POS Dashboard from the Apps dropdown. Clicking on it will redirect you to the dashboard preview, where you can manage the content displayed in your EVA environment.

From the sidebar, you can select a specific store or organization to see how the dashboard will appear in the POS app. The POS app will automatically search for the most suitable dashboard layout for your organization.

You have full control over the widgets in the dashboard, allowing you to add, edit, or remove content according to your preferences.

Managing content

There are two ways to manage your content.

In most cases, the dashboard provides you with convenient controls to edit your content. All you need to do is select the organization or organization unit set you wish to modify the content for, and the sidebar will promptly display the dashboard layout being used for that specific organization.

If you find that the selected layout is too broad and affects multiple organizations, don't worry. You have the power to create a new layout tailored to your needs.

By simply clicking on the 'pencil' icon in the dashboard widgets, an editing form will open in a new tab, allowing you to make the necessary modifications to the content entry.

To add new data, simply click the 'plus' icon in the widgets. You can also add or modify data by navigating to the Entries tab in the header.
